year over 500 students and leaders donated their time the Friday
afternoon of Youth Convention to meet the needs of the Portsmouth
community by cleaning, painting, raking, shoveling, and much more at
various project sites around the city. The response from the city was
incredible, and the Christ-like example from our students changed
lives. Again this year a select group of students and leaders can
participate in a day of service in conjunction with Connect Community
Church, New England Masters Commission and Adopt-a-Block. If your group
did not have the chance to participate last year or if you had a
fantastic time of ministry and it changed the lives of your teens,
you’ll want to get signed up for this event. Lunch is
provided right after the morning session and the projects are all
finished by 4 so you can get back to your hotel, have dinner and make
it to the evening session. Only the first 200 students and leaders will
be able to participate so don’t wait until the last minute to
make up your mind. Some Information... VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT
NEMC is also making bag lunches available
for your group if you would rather not have the hassle of finding a
place to eat with your group before you head out to your activities.
For $5, you get a drink, chips, and either a sandwich or piece of pizza from Moe's. If you are interested email stephanie_smc@ymail.com or call 603.436.8815 and ask for Stephanie. |
