The 2009 DYD Scholarship has been awarded to John Yunghans from Plymouth, NH. John is the son of Pastor Glen and Sharon Yunghans and will be attending VFCC this fall. He has been an honors student for the past four years, founder and leader of the Christian Student Organization at his school, and a member of the National Honor Society. He is a Sunday School Teacher at his church, lifeguards for NNED Kidz Camp, and volunteers at the New England Hemophilia Family Camp. And these are only a few of the things John has been involved in. John will receive $500 a semester for the next four years towards his college tuition for a total of $4000 over the course of his degree. Congratulations, John. If you are a high school senior planning on attending VFCC fall 2010 the scholarship page will contain information on applying for this scholarship after the first of the year. The District Youth Committee chooses one applicant from those who have submitted applications by the deadline to receive a scholarship of $4000 ($500 per semester for 4 years) to VFCC. |
