I.  CALL TO PARTICIPATE

 

•      A.  Satan’s Call:  “Take and Eat”  Gen. 3:1-12

 

•   1.      Eve to Eat what was forbidden by God!

•   2.      She gained Perspective, but lost Position!

 

•      B.  Jesus’ Call:  “Take and Eat”  Matt. 26:26

 

•   1.      Disciples to Eat what Christ offered them.

•   2.      They gained Position (fellowship with God) and Perspective!

 

II.  COVENANT OF PROMISE

 

    ·     A.  Satan’s – To be like God, a lie!

•   1.      They were anything but!

•   2.      They were now naked, stripped of God’s glory

 

•      B.  Jesus’ – To be forgiven, the truth!

 

•   1.      Blood of covenant in Jesus

•   2.      God’s glory can return now.

 

III.  COMING OF POWER

 

•      A.  Satan – Power of Sin

 

•   1.      Law of Sin begins to rule over mankind

•   2.      All creation affected

 

•      B.  Jesus’ – Power of Salvation

 

•   1.      Law of Grace conquers sin in repentant mankind

•   2.      All creation to be affected
